1. Information We Collect
Nuru Living collects the following information to provide our services:
- All users: Email address, phone number
- Landlords: Full name, NIDA number, ownership documents (NIDA photo, title deed, barua ya mtaa, utility bills)
- Property photos: Photos uploaded by landlords for listings
2. How We Store Data
Your data is securely stored on Supabase (AWS) servers in Europe. Verification documents (NIDA, ownership documents) are kept in private storage buckets and are only viewable by Nuru Living administrators during the verification process.
Property photos are stored in public buckets as they need to be displayed on listings.
3. Who Can See Your Data
- Contact details are only shown to signed-in users, and we keep a record of who requested them
- Verification documents (NIDA, ownership docs) are only viewable by administrators
- We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- To run the platform we use service providers who process data on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, an email delivery provider, a payment provider, and Cloudflare, whose bot-protection check on the sign-in page receives your IP address and browser signals. They may only use this data to provide their service to us.
4. Retention & Deletion
Documents for rejected landlords are deleted within 30 days of rejection. You may request deletion of all your data by contacting us.
